There are a no. of cultivars/races growing in different areas of BD.These are bedana,bombi,rajshahilocal,mangalbari,kadmi,kalipuri.The introduced cultivars are China-1,2,3.

Harvesting:

Harvesting is done May- June.

Yield:

Start bearing at the age of 6-8 years& yield per tree increases till they are 20-25.The national average of litchi is 5.3t/ha.
