Jackfruit is the national fruits of Bangldesh.Here&there many jackfruit trees are found in our campus.Infront of  lady s hall some of jackfruit trees are found.The size of jackfruits are so much big. Some of jackfruit trees are found besides the pond.

It grows all over the country but abundant jackfruits grow in Gazipur,Mymensing,Tangail,Sylhet,Rangamati,Khagrachari Hill Tracts area.The jackfruit ranks 5^th in area & 2^nd in production(BBS,2009).

There is only one recommended variety of jackfruits in the country named as BARI  Kanthal-1 which was released from BARI.

Harvesting:

The jackfruit flowers inDecember to March&fruit  ripens in May- August.
